The brown slippers are slightly dirty, dust has settled on the smooth leather and they lack shine. So you deserve a little basic cleaning including care.

For cleaning and subsequent maintenance, we need the following:

a bucket of washing water
a swelling sponge
Tapirs Leather Soap
an application brush
Shoe polish in brown
a gloss brush for polishing

Um die Schuhe aus Glattleder schonend zu säubern, nehmen Sie ein wenig von der Lederseife aus der Dose mit dem angefeuchteten Quellschwamm auf und knautschen ihn so lange, bis ein feiner Schaum entsteht. Massieren Sie diesen Schaum nun mit kreisenden Bewegungen auf das Leder auf und arbeiten ihn so ins Material ein. Säubern Sie so den gesamten Schuh und vergessen auch die Nähte zwischen Sohle und Schuhoberfläche nicht. Die Leder- und Sattelseife wirkt bis in die Tiefe und löst den Schmutz von innen heraus. Waschen Sie den Schwamm zwischendurch immer wieder im Wasser aus und wiederholen diesen Reinigungsvorgang so lange, bis kein Schmutz mehr auf dem Schaum zu sehen ist.

Tapir-Tipp: Sollte viel grober und festgetrockneter Schmutz an den Schuhen sein, empfiehlt es sich, diesen vor der Nassreinigung mit einer Schmutzbürste zu entfernen. Aber vorsichtig!

Seams and transitions are particularly important

With the application brush , you can also easily reach more hard-to-reach places such as the seams and the transitions between the upper and sole. By the way, you should take special care to apply enough shoe polish here. This is because the shoe is particularly sensitive to the penetration of water and dirt in these areas and the shoe polish counteracts this.

Gloss for the smooth leather

In order to finally make the shoes shine again, the shoe polish should be massaged in with a shine brush. This creates heat, which works the wax content contained in the care deep into the material.

You can see directly while brushing how the shoes start to shine! Brush until the desired gloss level is reached.

Your shoes now shine in new splendour and look almost like new again!
