Dirt from many hours of playground
My son’s children’s shoes were totally dirty – as so often – and now? The dirt sits deep in the material and the surface of the shoe is roughened and no longer visually appealing.
With the right brushes and care products, you can quickly get the shoes back in shape. But there has to be a little time!
First of all, we have all the necessary materials for shoe care ready. We need:
- a suede brush
- a bucket of warm washing water
- the outdoors on the road! Cleaner
- a stiff brush
- a swelling sponge
- A dirt brush
- Leather impregnation for suede, nubuck and suede
- Application brush
- A polishing brush
First, a rough dry cleaning was carried out with the suede brush with brass bristles. This provides an effective solution for cleaning and refreshing sensitive suede without affecting its structure or texture. The brass bristles of the brush are particularly gentle and gentle on the suede, while at the same time effectively removing stubborn dirt and debris.
First brush all leather sides dry with it and remove the first dirt with it.

Wet cleaning down to the depths
However, since dry cleaning is not sufficient here, we now use the Out and about! Cleaner, which also contains a tapir swelling sponge in the packaging. You can also use the Tapir dirt brush during cleaning, even wet with the cleaner to get the dirt off the shoe. Repeat the process until the shoe is cleaned. After the complete shoe has been pre-cleaned, the wet cleaning follows. To do this, we moisten the sponge and give a little of the outdoors on the go! cleaner on the sponge. If this is now kneaded a little, a fine foam is formed. This foam can now be used to wet the surface of the shoe and rub it properly.
Once the shoe is completely lathered in, we need the dirt brush, which is used to work the foam into the entire shoe with vigorous brushing movements.
In between, you should also wet the brush again and again so that you always have enough foam.

Waterproofing for long-lasting protection
Now the shoe is cleaned and should be prepared for future outdoor activities. The leather impregnation for suede, nubuck and suede is suitable for this purpose, which can be applied directly to the still wet shoe.
Shake the pump bottle with the impregnation well beforehand and then spray evenly and generously onto the shoe from a distance of approx. 20-30. It is then neatly distributed with the application brush and massaged in.
