Cleaning and care of nubuck leather – grey Adidas sneaker

Gray sneakers – or rather yellow?

The gray Adidas sneakers are quite dirty, the dirt has partly already moved into the nubuck leather and the fibers of the leather no longer look nice. The shoelaces themselves are also a bit affected.

With these shoes, good cleaning is therefore absolutely necessary. But no problem with Tapir!

For this purpose, all the necessary utensils and cleaning products are first provided. To clean the sneakers we need a bowl of warm washing water, the tapir Out and about! Cleaner, and the corresponding swelling sponge, a dirt brush, a cotton cloth, as well as the Tapir leather impregnation for nubuck leather and a suede eraser.

First, the shoelaces are removed as usual to make it easier to reach all areas during cleaning. You can now put them in a bowl of water, in which a little Tapir Out and About! Cleaner have been put in, soak so that the dirt comes out of them.

Goodbye dirt with the Tapir Cleaner for Nubuck Leather

It is not necessary for these shoes, but if you have even more dirty shoes including soles, then it is advisable to brush them off roughly with a dirt brush first. With the pointed edges of our dirt brush, even stuck dirt in the recesses of the sole can be scraped out.

Next, the swelling sponge from the cleaner is wet with the water, a little cleaner is added, and a little of the cleaner is also poured into the water. If you absorb the water and squeeze out the sponge, a nice foam is created. This foam is used to wet and rub the leather of the shoe all around. We now give the foam some time to absorb to unfold its full effect on the shoe.

Repeat this process several times until the shoe is cleaned. When the dirt is loosened, remove with clear water and pat dry with a cotton cloth.

After that, the shoe should be given some time to dry.
