No animal ingredients are used in our product. The Sneaker Cleaner is completely biodegradable and contains only panamarind cleaner, sugar surfactants, washing soda, natural essential oils (lemon, bergamot, silver fir) and water – nothing else.

As a result, it not only protects the material of your shoes, but ultimately also your wallet and works very effectively and thoroughly due to its natural power of the Panamarinde.

Our Snekaer Cleaner is suitable for a variety of materials – including canvas, leather or mesh.

Cleaning your sneakers made of leather and synthetic materials from dirt and dust is very easy with the Cleaner. Simply spray some of the foam on the shoe, let it soak in for a moment and work it in with the accompanying dirt brush. The foam penetrates deep into the depths and loosens the dirt from the inside out. After you have removed the cleaner again, your sneakers should shine almost like new again!

The sneaker cleaner can also be used on suede and nubuck leather. Here it is important to brush the sneakers with a suede brush so that the fibers are put back up. Cleaning with pure water should be avoided at all costs. (? Is that really the case???)

In the case of mesh and canvas, either white brushes can be used for gentle cleaning if there is little soiling or the sneaker cleaner for heavier dirt.

Then let the sneakers air dry. Avoid heat sources such as heaters or direct sunlight, as strong heat and UV rays could affect the material.

Back to school for chemistry lessons. Below you will find a list including a short description of all the ingredients in our sneaker cleaner.

Panamarind cleaner

Panamarind is also known as soap bark or washing wood. This comes from the soap bark tree native to Chile. Panamarind contains up to ten percent saponins. These are obtained when the panamarind is finely crushed and extracted several times with hot water. Saponins bind a soap-like foam in combination with water and develop an extremely effective, yet gentle power for cleansing. Saponins can only be produced from plants.
Sugar surfactant
Sugar surfactants are mild, skin-friendly surfactants based on sugar and vegetable oils. They are biodegradable, do not irritate the skin, but still cleanse effectively. They consist of a water-loving (hydrophilic) part and a fat-loving (lipophilic) part. The fat-loving part binds dirt and grease, while the water-loving part ensures that the bound dirt particles can be easily removed with water. This allows sugar surfactants to gently but effectively remove dirt from surfaces.
Washing soda
Washing soda is also known as sodium carbonate (Na2CO3). It has the ability to loosen dirt and stubborn stains. Due to its alkaline effect, it also dissolves proteins and fats very well. Washing soda occurs naturally in soda lakes. By the way, it also has an environmentally friendly effect, as it neutralizes the acidic degradation products of surfactants that are contained in most common detergents. In this way, soda even relieves the wastewater.
Water
Water or H20 acts on the one hand as a solvent that dissolves water-soluble dirt and on the other hand as a carrier that evenly distributes active ingredients such as surfactants. It also dilutes the concentration of other ingredients and therefore makes cleaners milder. Ultimately, it helps to remove dirt and cleaning agent residues.
Essential oils
Below are the benefits of essential oils in our natural sneaker cleaner. On the one hand, they naturally provide a pleasant and natural scent.
In addition, many oils, such as the lemon, silver fir and bergamot oils contained here, have an antimicrobial effect that inhibits the growth of germs, bacteria and fungi.
Since the oils are all of natural origin, they are also completely biodegradable.

In a nutshell: Yes, our natural sneaker cleaner is suitable for the entire shoe. From the sole to the shoelace.
For best results, remove the insoles and laces and clean them separately. At best, the shoelaces should be soaked in soapy water (i.e. water into which some of the sneaker cleaner has been added). This is the best way to remove the dirt from them.
Both the soles, the entire shoe surface and laces benefit from cleaning with the Sneaker Cleaner and your sneakers will shine in new splendor!

The Sneaker Cleaner is of course also suitable for white sneakers. The panamarind, sugar surfactants and washing soda loosen grease, dirt and stubborn stains from your white shoes powerfully but gently. You don’t have to worry about discoloration, as our sneaker cleaner does not contain any coloring substances.

Anyone who has a pair of favorite sneakers in their shoe closet probably knows it. In everyday life, dust, dirt, mud or other residues quickly accumulate on the material of the shoes, which not only look unsightly, but can also damage the fabric. If you wait too long to remove it, moisture and sweat often cause discoloration. In addition, bacteria and dirt particles tend to develop odors – especially in frequently worn shoes. Regular cleaning will not only keep your sneakers visually appealing, but also hygienic and more durable. With our Tapir Sneaker Cleaner , cleaning your shoes is very quick and easy!

To ensure that you can enjoy your sneakers for a long time, you should urgently avoid the following mistakes!

Do not put your shoes in the washing machine unless explicitly suggested on the cleaning instructions. This is because this can destroy the glue and the shape of the shoes under certain circumstances. Instead, use our Sneaker Cleaner to clean.

Also, avoid bleach. This can attack or discolor materials. Many bleaching agents are also harmful to the environment and can pollute water quality.

Make sure not to use water that is too hot for cleaning and avoid external heat sources such as hair dryers or heaters. Under certain circumstances, the material can be damaged by warping or discoloring.

Another mistake that should be avoided is not to clean the material until it already looks bad. Better make sure to clean your sneakers regularly. This protects the material, you ultimately need less cleaning agent and your shoes last longer.

Keep in mind the points listed above and you will enjoy your sneakers for a long time!
