The manufactory for natural shoe care

In the picturesque village centre of Amelsen, the Tapir manufactory has found its permanent place since 1983. What once began as a small family business has developed over the decades into a successful company with over 20 employees. Production, offices and warehouses are located in close proximity to each other, which enables short distances and close cooperation.

Tapir stands for the production of sustainable care products for shoes, bags, clothing, wood and plastic. The key to success lies in the combination of traditional processes and natural raw materials. High-quality waxes and oils are processed in large melts to create care products that are not only effective, but also environmentally friendly. The company attaches great importance to sustainability and the absence of chemical additives.

Quality, team spirit and the responsible use of resources characterise the work of the Tapir manufactory. In almost four decades, the company has developed into a pioneer in sustainable care products. It impressively proves that traditional craftsmanship and innovative approaches can be successfully combined.

The Tapir team – the heart of our manufactory

Did you know…

… that we have consciously relied on packaging made of glass, sheet metal and aluminium since our founding? Without any modern trends, we followed the idea of conserving resources and protecting the environment from the very beginning. Today shows how right this decision was: While plastics pollute our oceans and endanger nature, we remain true to our claim and rely on consistently sustainable packaging solutions.
